In April 2021, the third
meeting of partner schools under the Erasmus + Program "I get
to know the world - I get to know myself" took place.
Due to the pandemic, the
meeting was only possible online. This time the host was
the Spanish school from Puertollano. It is a Catholic,
Salesian school named after st. John Bosco. The meeting was
attended by an exceptionally large number of people, teachers
and children. Itturns out that in
Spain, France and Italy, primary school students go to school,
of course under strict sanitary conditions. The Spanish
school introduced its institution and presented interesting
teaching methods. She also prepared very interesting
activities for students. One of the topics of the meeting was
the presentation of legends related to individual countries.
The meeting took place
in the afternoon and 21 teachers from all partner schools
participated in it. The Spanish school said hello and
presented LIPDUB (a short, quick video) about their school.
The next item was a
presentation in English that the students discussed. It
was a presentation of Spain as a country (geography,
culture, history, cuisine and art), the region where their
city is located (Castillo - la Mancha), famous people from
the area and their city and schools. In addition to classrooms,
the facility includes a chapel, assembly hall, playing
fields and a large courtyard.
A very interesting
point of the meeting was the presentation of working
methods at school.
Ms Cristina Garcia
presented the forms of work and the plan of the day.
Each school day begins with a prayer in the chapel and
short classes on one topic, there is a Mass 3 times a week.
The video showing the active activity of the students
presents a performance, dances, gymnastics, art work and
didactic games. The patron day of the Puertollano school
is celebrated in a merry way. After the solemn mass and the
procession, games and sports took place in the school square.
Spanish teachers also
presented videos showing other school celebrations, such as
"Grandparents Day", "Book Holidays". This last, unique
holiday was divided into age groups. Preschool children
presented characters from their favorite fairy tales, children
- older characters from comics. They dressed up, drew
their favorite characters, chose the best of the books they
had read for which the covers were made.
The next methods of
work that we learned were:
--- PLICERSCARD:
method of solving tests using coding. 40 people can take part
in it at the same time. Students get a card on which the
answer is coded, the questions are displayed on the board, the
students answer by showing the received code in the correct
way, choose the answer a, b, or c, when the students' sheets
are raised, the teacher scans the answers and sees on the
phone whether they are correct or no. For students it is great
fun and learning at the same time.
--- SCHOOL GARDEN:
setting up a flower garden at school, i.e. learning through
observation and experiment. First, "flower beds" were prepared,
i.e. old tires, pallets and plastic bottles were painted, into
which the children later poured soil and sowed plant seeds.
The flowerbeds prepared in this way decorated the school yard.
It is a tradition of our school to
organize a TALENT SHOW in spring. This year it was held
as part of the ERASMUS+ program "I know the world - Iknow
myself" implemented by the school.
Due to the epidemic situation, this
year's show had a different form. The students presented their
passions, interests and skills in the form of films and
presentations.
!!! All participants
of the Talent Show who boasted about their achievements, talents and
successes
will receive prizes funded from the ERASMUS+ Program.
The award ceremony will take place after the end of distance
learning and return to school !!!
97 | LAPBOOKI under the
slogan "Everyone is looking for news about Anaruk's life"...
The School Library
in cooperation with the class teacher of the 3rd class,
Mariola Bodnar, organized a LAPBOOK Class
Competition, based on the content of the reading: "Anaruk,
a boy from Greenland" by Czesław Centkiewicz, under
the slogan: "Everyone is looking for news - what is
Anaruk's life like!"
The task of the students
from grade 3 was to answer the following questions:
--- Who is Anaruk?
--- How do the people of Greenland live?
--- How do they get their food?
--- What animals live in the arctic zones?
Students tried to answer the
above questions by creating lapbooks based on their reading. They
fulfilled this task amazingly. They showed creativity, the works
were aesthetic, colorful, decorated with hand-drawn drawings. With
the help of photos, colorful illustrations, short text messages,
with the use of various materials, they created a bank of
interesting information about the life of the book's hero in Arctic
Greenland. The lapbooks also contained interesting quizzes, riddles,
puzzles, enabling the consolidation of knowledge or its acquisition.
In the future, the works
will serve as an incentive for younger students to read or create an
opportunity to consolidate its content in an interesting and
attractive way.
All works were awarded
with attractive books. Each participant received a commemorative
diploma. Lapbooks with special aesthetic or educational content have
been awarded.
The authors of the awarded
works are: Julia Struś, Gabriela Kopiec, Mateusz Wisłocki, Maja
Serwa, Maja Michniak.
Awards for participation
went to: Nikodem Bat, Sandra Szczepańska, Witold Michniowski,
Filip Brejta, Milena Pierz.
The awards and diplomas were
solemnly presented in the presence of Mrs. Barbara Zdybek,
the class teacher, Mrs. Mariola Bodnar, and the librarian
teacher, Mrs. Renata Handermander.
The purchase of the
prizes was financed by the ERASMUS + program.
!!!
Congratulations to the authors of the works for their creativity !!!
We would like to thank the
deputy director Irena Bojarska for her help in organizing the
competition.
91 | FOREST IN A JAR -
educational project in grade 2b...
Most of us like the
smell of the forest, especially durring spring, when
nature awakens to life again.
Therefore, class 2b,
together with their teacher Ms Sabina Kurasik, decided
to "catch and hide" spring in a jar. Yes, literally!
A forest in a jar
is a self-sufficient ecosystem. Thanks to the closed
circulation of gases, water and minerals the forest grows.
Children will have the opportunity to observe the growing
forest in their homes, smell it and, above all, properly care
for it and draw conclusions.
The aim of the classes
was to build a close relationship between students and
nature, develop interest in nature through physical
contact with it, shape pro-ecological attitudes, learn
about the structure and functioning of the forest ecosystem,
learn about the water cycle in nature, respect nature.
Children created
individually beautiful spring forests in jars, which they were
very proud of. Surely they will decorate the inside of
their rooms spreading the fresh spring fragrance all around.
