"Little League multiplication tables" competition. The entire
class successfully passed the exam.
Gabrysia Kopiec won the first place and the honorable
championship title, the second place was Nikodem Bat, the
third place was Wojciech Glinianowicz, the fourth place was
Filip Maciejewski, the fifth place was Kamil Piegdoń, the
sixth place was Maja Serwa.
The winners received awards and commemorative diplomas
sponsored by the ERASMUS + program "I know the world - I know

We invite you to watch a PRESENTATION from our struggles...
Durring Maths
classes in class 2b children were solving mysterious riddles
which lead the students to solve some detective’s cases.
The aim of this
classes was to implement the core curriculum in a different
way, more attractive to children, to develop logical and
creative thinking, to make the classes more varied and also
let the students know the detective work.
The pupils and their
teacher, Mrs Sabina Kurasik, dressed in black like
detectives, came into their changed classroom that day (changed
by Mrs Kurasik). The classroom turned into a room of
riddles: logical and mathematical riddles as well as a mission
with lasers, where children had to cross with the grace and
agility of a real detective, in order to disarm a bomb.
Each of them received an ID of a secret agent and the
students had to print their fingerprints on it. They
had opportunity to look at it through a magnifying glass and
to compare it with other prints. The children learned
what fingerprints are and that every person has a unique
fingerprint pattern. Children were discovering step by
step the riddles to find the answer to the question: "Who
stole the detectives' secret files?".
Children cooperated
very well with each other, analyzed the tasks together, voted
for the best answers, they learned how to discuss.
Flashlights were needed that day because the classroom was
mysteriously dark. The children also had magnifying glasses
needed for some of the tasks. All these tasks were solved
correctly, that’s why students were able to find the solution
to the case and to find out who we were looking for.
88 | Active teaching methods in partner schools...
Today (10.03.21) was the last day of Erasums+ partners
meeting. Representatives of all schools were present.
After a short welcome we listened to a presentation of a
teacher from our school Ms Sabina Kurasik on active
teaching methods. The amount of and effects of the
conducted activities amazed the participants. Later, also
our school presented the electronic version of the book
written by the project participants. The book was travelling
from school to school and each of them added another fragment.
There were also beautiful illustrations.
The next point of the meeting was a presentation by
teachers from the school in Gaggio Montano, who presented
the Camillo Bortolato method in a very clear way. This
is a method of active learning of mathematics for the
youngest children.
The last part of the meeting was to discuss the current issues
of the project; to analyze the project website and setting

86 | Meeting of Spanish and Italian students from Mazara
del Vallo...
09.03.2021 was the second day of the meeting of schools participating in the Erasmus+ project. This time the organiser was a
school from Spain, from Puertollano. Overcoming minor technical obstacles, we watched
a presentation by children from the school in Mazara del Vallo. The children and their teachers were in a beautifully decorated classroom and after
a short welcome, the students introduced themselves and talked about their interests. Some even displayed their artwork.
Afterwards, there was a presentation prepared by the Spanish students. The boys briefly introduced themselves and discussed the projected
presentation about Spain, their city and school. Everyone's interest was aroused by
the teacher's story about a very special festival that takes place in their town.
It is an event commemorating the year 1348, when the plague struck the town and 13 families survived the pandemic.
In thanks for the rescue, a popular beef and potatoes is cooked during
the outdoor event for people to take home.
After the teacher's story, the participants said goodbye.
